South Florida in winter

Mid-February is the perfect time to escape winter to the south of Florida, where the temperature is warm, the skies are sunny, and the landscapes are absolutely full of birds. We’ll visit some of the country’s most famous birding spots—like Corkscrew Swamp and Everglades National Park—and will see many of Florida’s special birds, like Florida Scrub-Jay, Snail Kite, White-crowned Pigeon, Burrowing Owl, hordes of waterbirds, and perhaps an arriving Swallow-tailed Kite.

Itineraries will be updated with plenty of time before the next departure. Our itineraries usually show minimal changes between years, but some substantive updates can occur as birding access and information evolves. For any specific questions regarding these trips, please contact us.
